Connecting people and places for good

Who we are

Rockingham Forest Trust is an environmental charity which was formed in 1993, following a bid to locate the National Forest in Rockingham Forest. Although that bid was unsuccessful, the Trust was born, and has come a long way since those early days.

Today, the Trust is based in the visitor centre at Stanwick Lakes, a countryside attraction and nature reserve in East Northamptonshire which we run as a social enterprise. The profits from the business are re-invested to enable us to achieve our charitable objectives.
