LEADER+, known locally as Rockingham Rural Revival, was a rural development initiative to boost the rural area of the Rockingham Forest. It involved local communities in developing and testing small-scale, innovative approaches to address rural development issues. Between June 2002 and December 2008 it provided support, guidance and funding to enable local communities to develop and undertake their own projects. |

What happens next for the area? The North Northamptonshire Rural Action Partnership, under the leadership of Northamptonshire ACRE, has been successful in their application to the Rural Development Programme for England 2007 – 2013 which follows on from LEADER+. A further £1.5 million will be available to projects in the area over the next 5 years.
