Barrowden & Wakerley Community Shop

A community project to re establish a local shop in the parish.

Received a Small Grant to help fund surveys, consultancy fees, planning applications, project management, volunteer training and equipment.

Oundle Maize Maze

A farm diversification project providing entertainment and education for children.

Received a Small Grant to help fund education, marketing, admin and equipment costs.

Desborough Green Space

A public consultation exercise to establish community views on options for an area of
land designated for recreational use.

Received a Small Grant to help fund research, publicity, events, marketing, staff costs, materials and travel costs.

Fermynwoods 'What Next'

A feasibility study into potential future locations for the Art Gallery.

Received a Small Grant to help fund consultancy fees for the feasibility study.

Titchmarsh Village Shop

A community project to re establish a shop in the Village, which has been without one for ten years. The shop will be run by a team of volunteers under two part time managers.

Received a Small Grant to help fund 10 months salary costs for one of the part time managers.

Rothwell Arts & Heritage Centre

Recruitment of a part time project manager to coordinate the centre's work, manage its admin, organise events, deliver an education programme and recruit additional volunteers.

Foxtail Lilly Barn Shop

A new retail business which will sell flower arrangements and craft products and also provide workshops in flowers/plants and design.

Cinema for Rockingham Forest's Villages

Development of an outreach programme of film showings in village halls by Oundle Cinema.

The Orton Trust

The Trust runs subsidised weekend courses in stonemasonry skills.

Oundle Museum

A themed exhibition, 'Set in Stone', being held at the museum Mar-Nov 2007, looking at the importance (past and present) of stone and its many and varied uses in the area.

Thrapston & Raunds Area MIND

TRAM supports people with mental health problems. The project uses group-based trips to places of local interest to build confidence in those members whose social anxiety and isolation restricts their ability to access community resources and build social networks.

Sue Kirk: Basketmaker

Sue has a basketmaking business using locally grown willow, and runs willow weaving workshops in King's Cliffe.

Warmington Parish Council

Production of a Countryside Walks leaflet to encourage people to appreciate the diversity of landscape, wildlife and culture of the surrounding countryside.

Corby Allotment project

Redeveloping a disused allotment site for use by schools and residents of Corby and its surrounding villages. The project will provide an environmental and health education programme and a range of supporting activities.

An educational centre which promotes understanding of the environment through field studies.

Newton Rebels

A local history association which raises awareness of local history within the community, particularly the events of the Newton Rebellion.

Received a Small Grant to help fund events commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Newton Rebellion.

The Middle Nene Archaeological Group

The Group is involved in fieldwork and excavation as well as regular lectur programmes. Members have been engaged in activities in large areas of Rockingham Forest, including field walking, geophysical surveying and excavation work.

Received a Small Grant to help fund post- excavation analysis of finds at the Saxon settlement at Polebrook and produce booklets for schools, libraries and museums.

Corby Forest Schools Project

An education initiative aimed at schools, providing activity based learning in Fineshade Woods.

Received a Small Grant to help fund Training costs for teachers to become qualified Forest Leaders, and pay for hire of transport to get children to and from the site.

Peartree Farm

A feasibility study into potential uses of redundant farm buildings.

Rockingham Forest Charcoal Bags

A business initiative to develop a locally branded charcoal that increases public awareness of a sustainable approach to woodland management.
