Energy from the Forest (Rural Energy Trust Ltd)
This project aims to create a market for wood fuel by installing wood heating systems and encouraging farmland and woodland owners to manage existing woodland and grow energy crops. A programme of education, training and capacity building will accompany this work.

Youth on TRAC (Scout Centre)
This project will involve young people in developing and enhancing the environment and outside facilities of the Scout Centre resulting in the increased use of the Centre by the community and the development of life and social skills and environmental awareness of the young people involved.

Geddington Wood Products Centre (Boughton Estate)
The aim of this project is to assess the viability of creating a sustainable centre of excellence for local wood products by carrying out a feasibility study and financial appraisal. The centre is likely to incorporate various facets, such as workshops, training facilities and a retail outlet, bringing together wood product makers into a co-operative and providing community training and interpretation facilities. Outputs for 2004 include initial basic drawings, a promotional leaflet, consultation, market research, discussions about building use and an open evening.

An innovative scheme to facilitate economic activity in the rural, sustainable tourism sector in Rockingham Forest. This is a three year arts project for young people, by young people. A festival committee of young people is leading the project and decides which workshops or events they would like to happen. The project is designed to encourage participation by young people and will result in a festival celebrating rural life and culture in the Rockingham Forest area.

Small Grants Scheme
The aim of the project is to provide a straightforward access route to financial assistance for small (under £10,000) projects for anyone within the Rockingham Forest LAG area.  The project encourages smaller local groups who are currently put off by the existing process to apply for funding.

Exploring Sculpture
The Fermyn Woods Art Gallery organised inspiring visual art exhibitions and workshops in the Rockingham Forest area with particular emphasis on encouraging young people to participate. They brought Peter Randall-Page, a sculptor with an international reputation, to work with stone from Weldon quarry.

Newton Rebels Scoping Project
A scoping project to determine the basis for a larger, imaginative and creative project to raise local and national awareness of the events of the Newton Rebellion, a significant but little known historical event, and to establish its place within history.  Anniversary events around Newton and Geddington are being planned for 2007.

Food group
The project brought local food producers, consumers and purchasers together at ‘Meet the Buyer’ events. Since the completion of this project, the food group has become sustainable finding independent funding and has a well used website www.northamptonshirefood.org
