What does membership of the CPN involve?
There are no commitments, but many benefits to being a CPN member, as follows:
Education
Invitations to training and information sessions ranging from how to influence the design of building in your village, to getting involved in official planning consultations (from local to regional level). These sessions are usually held in village halls across the Forest area.
New contacts
Chance to meet people with similar concerns and learn from each other.
An E-forum facility to seek and provide advice outside of meetings.
Support
Support in the form of advice and guidance from other Network members and the Rockingham Forest Trust staff, or information on further sources of help.
Resources
Updates on official consultations and changes in the planning system.
Enjoyment
All events are informal and enjoyable occasions with opportunities to chat to others. Occasionally more social events are provided too, for example a local traditions quiz and talk held at Wadenhoe House.
Becoming a member of the Community Planning Network simply means that you receive up to 10 mail- outs a year, in the form of newsletters and invitations to events. It is then down to you how involved you want to be.
To join the Community Planning Network simply get in touch with the Rockingham Forest Trust and give your full contact details.
